What are the details of this patch?
The FrontPage 98 patch addresses the following areas:
- Font color applied to hyperlinks
Under certain conditions FrontPage 98 would alter the arrangement of "font" tags with respect to anchor "a" tags. This could have lead to the "a" tags defaulting to the page default color instead of the specified font color. This issue is resolved with the patch. - Non-breaking spaces in blank table cell
If the only element in a borderless table cell was a non-breaking space tag (nbsp;) in a table with a specified background color, FrontPage Editor would strip out the. This issue is resolved with the patch and the is included in the blank table cell. - Character-level HTML tags in the FrontPage Editor
In cases where HTML paragraphs spanned by character level tags (such as "b" or "em") are manipulated directly in the editor, FrontPage will now write out these HTML tags in a more aesthetically pleasing form and will eliminate tag fragments that have no impact on the way the browser renders the page. - Navigation Bar image in Preview View
When a Navigation Bar image was highlighted and the user switched first to the HTML tab and then to the Preview tab, the FrontPage Editor would generate an error and close. This issue is resolved with the patch. - ImageMap with relative URLs
This patch resolves the issue of absolute URLs, rather than the intended relative URLs, emerging from an imagemap created by the FrontPage Editor outside the context of a FrontPage Explorer-opened web. This issue is resolved with the patch and the relative hyperlinks are now maintained. - Cosmetic display issues in the FrontPage Explorer
Users using the Windows 98 operating system with certain video drivers may experience minor redraw issues when displaying hyperlink lines or Tool Tips in the Hyperlinks View of the FrontPage Explorer. This issue is resolved with the patch. - Design-time control properties
With this patch, design-time control parameters can now be modified after insertion in the FrontPage Editor.
