This update installs ODBC drivers and a control panel, enabling Microsoft Office 2001 to connect to and retrieve data from Microsoft SQL Server 7 and 2000 databases.
Turn off all virus protection software because it might interfere with installation.
If you are running Mac OS X, we recommend that you use Startup Disk in System Preferences to switch your startup folder to the Mac OS 9.x (Classic) system folder, and then restart your computer.

Double-click the 2001DataAccessUpdate file on your hard disk. A 2001DataAccessUpdate.sit file and a 2001DataAccessUpdate folder are placed on your hard disk.
In the 2001DataAccessUpdate folder, double-click the 2001 Data Access Update installer.
