If you are using a screen reader that doesn't work with expandable links in Microsoft Publisher 2002 online Help, you can download alternative Help with pre-expanded content.


Note   By installing expanded Help files you replace the original versions of the files. If you decide to revert to the original files, this page provides instructions. Be sure you have access to the CD or network location originally used to install Microsoft Office XP.

Instructions



To install this download

  1. You may want to print this page to use as a reference when you are offline.
  2. Download the file from the Microsoft Office Tools on the Web site by clicking the Download link above and following the instructions in the dialog boxes.
  3. Double-click the Pbexhelp.exe program file on your hard disk to start the setup program.
  4. Click Yes to install.
  5. Click Yes or No to accept or decline the license agreement.
    Note      Clicking No will cause the installation to stop.
  6. Browse to \\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 10\1033, and then click OK.
  7. Click Yes to all, when asked if you want to overwrite files.
  8. Click OK.


Instructions for use:

Restart your computer and use the Publisher 2002 online Help as you usually would.

To remove this download and restore original Help files

  1. Right-click Start, and then click Explore.
  2. Browse to \\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 10\1033, press and hold down CTRL, and then click: eula10o.chm, eula10r.chm, EULA10T.chm, mse10.chm, MSOHLP10.chm, NMCHAT.chm, NMWHITEB.chm, OFMAIN10.chm, OWCVBA10.chm, PBMAIN10.chm, pbTOC10.chm, VBAOF10.chm, VBAPOWS10.chm, and VBAPB10.chm.
  3. On the File menu, click Delete, click Yes, and then click Yes to all.
  4. On the Start menu, point to Settings, and click Control Panel.
  5. Double-click Add/Remove Programs, click Microsoft Office XP, and then click Change.
    Note      This will require access to the CD or network location originally used to install office XP.
  6. In the Microsoft Publisher 2002 Setup, select Add or Remove Features, and then click Next.
  7. If you are using Office XP Special Edition, Small Business, or Pro Plus with Publisher, click Microsoft Publisher for Windows, click Help, and click Run from My Computer.
  8. Click Update.


If have installed Publisher 2002 in addition to Office XP

  1. On the Start menu, point to Settings, and click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Add/Remover Programs, click Microsoft Publisher 2002, and then click Change.
  3. In the Microsoft Publisher 2002 Setup, select Add or Remove Features, and then click Next.
  4. Click the plus sign next to Microsoft Publisher for Windows, click Help, and click Run from My Computer.
  5. Click the plus sign next to Office Shared Features, click Visual Basic for Applications, click Run from My Computer.
  6. Click Update.



The next time you start the program, Help will be restored to its original version.
