Overview
This management pack was originally released on May 15, 2003.
The DTC Management Pack monitors Microsoft DTC versions 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, and 4.0.
By detecting, sending alerts, and automatically responding to critical events, this management pack helps indicate, correct, and prevent possible service outages or configuration problems. With this management pack, you can proactively manage Microsoft DTC and identify issues before they become critical.
DTC is a system service that coordinates transactions so that work can be committed as an atomic transaction even if it spans multiple resource managers on multiple computers, regardless of failures. Microsoft DTC made its debut as part of Microsoft SQL Server 6.5. Microsoft DTC is currently included in the Microsoft Transaction Server (MTS). Microsoft DTC implements a two-phase commit protocol that ensures that the transaction outcome (whether commit or abort) is consistent across all resource managers involved in a transaction.
This management pack has been updated since the release of Microsoft® Operations Manager 2000 Service Pack 1 (SP1) and is now supported in international-language configurations and on Microsoft Windows Server™ 2003.
