OverviewProject Server 2002 Service Pack 1 (SP1) provides the latest updates to Microsoft Project Server 2002. SP1 contains significant security enhancements as well as stability and performance improvements. This service pack applies to any level of Project Server 2002. It contains all previously released updates to Project Server 2002.
When installing SP1, you may be prompted to insert your original Project Server 2002 CD-ROM. Project Server 2002 SP1 includes all updates previously released for Project Server 2002:
Project Server 2002 SP1 will install successfully even if one or more of the publicly available updates has already been installed on your computer. Project Server 2002 SP1 also includes stability improvements developed as a result of user input from the Error Reporting Tool in Project Server 2002 and from Microsoft Product Support feedback. It is advised that you back up your database before applying any updates. UPGDB101.CMD <sql server name> <database name> <system administrator account login> <system administrator account password> OR if using Windows authentication SQL Server as the currently logged in user: UPGDB101.CMD <sql server name> <database name> If you are using SharePoint Team Services, you may want to apply the latest service pack (SP3) which is available through the Office XP Service Pack 3. After applying the service pack you will need to update your custom template files.
