Overview

Identity Integration Feature Pack for Microsoft® Windows Server™ Active Directory® with Service Pack 2 (SP2) manages identities and coordinates user details across Microsoft Active Directory, Active Directory Application Mode (ADAM), Microsoft Exchange 2000 Server, and Exchange Server 2003 implementations. Using Identity Integration Feature Pack, you can combine identity information for a given user or resource into a single, logical view. Identity Integration Feature Pack also automates the provisioning of new and updated identity data, eliminating time-consuming, repetitive administration and the need to manually add, delete, or update identity information, groups, and user accounts.

System Requirements

  • Supported Operating Systems: Windows Server 2003

Minimum System Requirements
The following hardware is suggested for an installation of Identity Integration Feature Pack SP2:
  • Server with a 1 GHz or faster processor (Pentium 4 recommended)
  • 512 megabytes (MB) of RAM; 1 gigabyte (GB) or more recommended
  • Hard disk space required:
    • 350 MB for the default installation of Identity Integration Feature Pack and rules extensions. Additional 1 Gb of available hard disk space recommended for log files.
    • 8 GB of available hard disk space on the partition that contains the database files
  • Super VGA or higher resolution monitor
  • CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drive

Required SoftwareThe following software is required for an installation of Identity Integration Feature Pack:
  • Microsoft® Windows® Server 2003, Enterprise Edition
  • Microsoft® .NET Framework 2.0
  • Microsoft® SQL Server™
    • 2000, Enterprise Edition, Standard Edition, or Developer Edition, with Service Pack 3a (SP3a), or
    • 2005, Enterprise Edition, Standard Edition, or Developer Edition (32-bit or 64-bit) (with Service Pack 1 recommended).

Recommended software
At a minimum, if you are planning to create rules extensions, a Microsoft Visual Basic® or Visual C#® compiler is required. The following software is recommended to create rules extensions:
  • Visual Basic® 2005, or
  • Visual C#® 2005, or
  • Microsoft® Visual Studio® 2005 (Note: This is required for projects that are auto-generated by Identity Manager)


In addition to the above software, the following versions can also be used to debug rules extensions:
  • Visual Basic® 2005, Express Edition
  • Visual C#® 2005, Express Edition
