This migration kit is a collection of tools and white paper to guide system integrator and service provider through migrating to Microsoft® Solution for Hosted Messaging and Collaboration version 4.0 from previous Hosted Messaging and Collaboration version 3.5. This migration is mainly about upgrading Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 to Microsoft Exchange 2007 and Microsoft Windows® SharePoint® Services version 2.0 to Microsoft Windows SharePoint Services version 3.0. Instructions
Download the package to your local computer. Follow the white paper Hosted Messaging and Collaboration Migration Guide to do the migration.
Important:
In Microsoft Solution for Hosted Messaging and Collaboration 4.0 Migration Kit, when you import offline address books by using the Import::ImportOfflineAddressBook procedures, you cannot rebuild or replicate the offline address books. Additionally, the Event ID: 3048 and Event ID: 3043 events are logged in the Application log on the server that is hosting the offline address books. This situation affects environments in which Microsoft Solution for Hosted Messaging and Collaboration 3.5 is being migrated to Hosted Messaging and Collaboration 4.0 and in which public folders are being replicated.
If you have already run the ImportOfflineAddressBook.xml script, you will need to contact Microsoft Customer Service and Support to obtain a procedure to reset the siteFolderGUID attributes.
If you have not yet migrated your Offline Address Books, see Microsoft KB article 947005: You cannot rebuild or replicate offline address books in Hosted Messaging and Collaboration 4.0 Migration Kit. Obtain the fix provided by this article, and apply it before following the instructions in the Migration document.
