Overview
Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Mobile Edition (SQL Server Mobile) is the compact database for rapidly developing applications in both native mode and the .NET Compact Framework that extend enterprise data management capabilities to devices.
Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Mobile Edition Server Tools installs the SQL Server Mobile Replication Components on the IIS box. The components are required for connecting the SQL Server Mobile database on a mobile device to a SQL Server 2005, SQL Server 2000 SP3a, or SQL Server 2000 SP4 database.

- 3-4 MB of available hard disk space. (An additional 3-4 MB of space must be also available for temporary setup files.)

Instructions
Important: Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Mobile Edition (SQL Server Mobile) supports synchronization with SQL Server 2000 SP3a and above. For synchronizing with SQL Server database, the SQL Server Replication Components need to be installed on the machine running the IIS Server. Note that there is no need to install the SQL Server Replication Components, if the SQL Server and the IIS Server are installed on the same machine, and the SQL Server has been installed with the Replication Components.
