Overview

Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 provides secure and reliable instant messaging in which all end points are always authenticated against Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS). While this security is necessary, it can make it very difficult to create solutions where one or more of the end users do not have access to an Active Directory account.

This sample illustrates a solution that enables employees within a corporate domain to communicate directly and in real time with others outside the domain via a medium such as their corporate Web site.
