Microsoft recommends that you use the Office Update site to determine if your computer requires this update before installing it.

Project 2002 Service Pack 1 (SP1) provides the latest updates to Microsoft Project 2002. SP1 contains significant security enhancements as well as stability and performance improvements. This service pack contains all previously released updates to Project 2002.

When installing the Project 2002 Service Pack, you may be prompted to insert your original Project 2002 CD-ROM. For more information on this requirement, please see (828451) OFFXP: Why Service Packs, Updates, and Security Patches May Require the Office XP CD-ROM.

Project 2002 SP1 addresses the issue described in the following Microsoft Security Bulletin:

This service pack also includes all updates previously released for Project 2002:

Project 2002 SP1 will install successfully even if one or more of the publicly available updates has already been installed on your computer.

Project 2002 SP1 also includes stability improvements developed as a result of user input from the Error Reporting Tool in Project 2002 and from Microsoft Product Support feedback.

To install this update, you must have one of the following:

Project Standard 2002
Project Professional 2002

Microsoft Windows Installer version 2.0 or later. Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 3 and Microsoft Windows XP include this version of the Windows Installer. Otherwise, the latest version of Windows Installer is available as a separate download at the following links:

Windows Installer for Windows 95, 98, and ME

Windows Installer for Windows NT 4.0 and 2000

Instructions

Download the file by clicking the Download link (above) and saving the file to your hard disk.

Double-click the Project2002-KB830241-FullFile-ENU.exe program file on your hard disk to start the setup program.

Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.

Instructions for use:

Once you have installed this update, use Project as you normally would.

To remove this download:
