Overview
The Hipercâmbio Project is the first project of Microsoft’s new High-Performance Computing (HPC) Lab in Portugal. Built on a partnership between Microsoft and the University of Beira Interior, the main purpose of this project is to apply HPC technologies using Windows Compute Cluster Server 2003 to breast cancer research; develop parallel and scalable algorithms that will enable the processing of high-volume medical data associated with breast cancer; and increase accuracy in automatic identification of breast cancer patients.
