Overview
The Microsoft® Office SharePoint™ Portal Server 2003 Document Library Migration Tools move documents, versions, metadata, folders, and security settings from Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2001, as well as from SharePoint Portal Server 2003 backward-compatible document libraries, to SharePoint Portal Server 2003 document libraries. This installation includes an export tool, an import tool, and documentation for use of the tools.

Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 must be installed on the computer before running the Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003 Document Library Migration Tools. Top of page
Instructions
Installation
1. Download Microsoft Office SharePoint Portal Server 2003 Document Library Migration Tools.
2. Save Setup.exe to a folder.
3. Run Setup.exe.
4. Accept the End User License Agreement.
5. Choose a folder for extracting the tool files.
6. Click OK.
Note: The tools must be installed on the server to which the content will be migrated. The tools may also be installed on other computers for the purpose of exporting content.
Usage
1. Read the tool documentation in spinspouthelp.mht.
2. Run the export tool Spout.exe to export files from the source server.
3. Run the import tool Spin.exe to import files to the target server.
