Overview

The Agent Communications Panel for Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 is an application add-in to Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0. It works with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 R2, and enables agents to manage their communications (make calls, receive calls, conference, and chat) from their Microsoft Dynamics CRM system.

The Agent Communications Panel is an XAML browser application (XBAP). It is published to a Web server and opened from a Web browser.

    The following prerequisites are required for server installation:
    • Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1
    • Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0
    • Internet Information Services

    Supported Operating Systems

    One of the following 32-bit or 64-bit operating systems is required:
    • Windows Server 2003 R2/SP2 Standard Edition
    • Windows Server 2003 R2/SP2 Enterprise Edition
    • Windows Small Business Server 2003 SP2
    • Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition
    • Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Edition
    • Windows Server 2008 Datacenter Edition
    • Windows Web Server 2008

    Agent Communications Panel supports Hyper-V and Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 R2. It does not support Intel Itanium-based systems.

    Permissions

    You must have permissions to access the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Web services.


Client Requirements

    The following prerequisites are required for users to connect to the Agent Communications Panel Web page:
    • Internet Explorer 7
    • Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP1

    Supported Operating Systems

    One of the following 32-bit or 64-bit operating systems is required:
    • Windows Vista Home Basic SP1
    • Windows Vista Home Premium SP1
    • Windows Vista Business SP1
