Overview

With the Microsoft Project 2000 Euro Currency Converter you can view project costs in more than one currency at the same time. You can use this add-in to convert any cost field to euros and/or other units of currency, and then view the converted cost fields in your Microsoft Project tables and reports.


NOTE: This Euro Currency Converter is for US English only. However, the add-in is available in multiple languages. Please refer to the Office Worldwide page to obtain the add-in for your specific country.

Instructions



To install this download

  1. You may want to print this page to use as a reference when you are offline.
  2. Download the file from this page by clicking the Download link above and following the instructions in the dialog boxes.
  3. Quit Microsoft Project if it is running.
  4. Double-click the Eurocur.exe program file on your hard disk to start the setup program.
  5. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.


Instructions for use:

  1. Start Microsoft Project 2000.
    If you get a Server Busy warning, click Switch To.
    A new toolbar, named Euro Currency Converter, is displayed in Microsoft Project 2000.
    If you do not see the new toolbar, point to Toolbars on the Views menu, and then click Euro Currency Converter.
  2. Open the project you want.
  3. Switch to a sheet view, or if you are in a split view, select the top pane.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • To add new cost fields in the desired currency using a wizard, click the Add New Currency Wizard button on the Euro Currency Converter toolbar and follow the instructions on the screen.
    • To add a column with the euro equivalent of a cost field in your table, select one or more cost fields in the task or resource table, and then click Insert Cost in Euro on the Euro Currency Converter toolbar.


To remove this download:

  1. Quit Microsoft Project if it is running.
  2. On the Start menu, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  3. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
  4. In the Install/Uninstall list, select Microsoft Project 2000 Euro Currency Converter, and then click Add/Remove.
  5. Confirm that you are certain you want to uninstall the software by clicking Yes.
