This download can also be found on either the Microsoft Office 97 CD or on any of its individual applications' CDs, in the Valupack folder on the particular CD.
These animated pointers add fun visual cues to pointer movements in Word, Excel, and Outlook®. For example, the pointer arrow changes to an animated envelope when you send mail in Outlook or to a printer when you print a Word document, an Excel workbook, or an Outlook item.

Instructions
To install this download
- You may want to print this page to use as a reference when you are offline.
- Download the file from this page by clicking the Download link above and following the instructions in the dialog boxes.
- Double-click the cursor.exe program file on your hard disk to start the Setup program.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
Instructions for use:
Once the install is completed, the animated pointers will be activated in Word, Excel, and Outlook. You do not need to restart the programs for the cursors to work.
To remove this download:
- From the Start menu, point to the Settings entry, and choose Control Panel. Double-click on Add/Remove Programs.
- In the list on the Install/Uninstall tab, find the entry Microsoft Office 97 Animated Cursors (Remove Only), and highlight it. Click Add/Remove.
- When it asks you if you are sure you want to remove the application, click Yes.
- When it finishes removing the program, click OK on the confirmation dialog box.
