Overview
The download includes the components, Microsoft ASP.NET administration page, source code, and documentation that shows how to install and configure the ERP Connector components. One ERP Connector component synchronizes resource and organization data in Project Server 2003 with data from mySAP ERP Human Capital Management. Another component creates projects in Project Server from internal order and task accounting data exported by the mySAP ERP Financials CO and PS subsystems. The ERP Connector component that integrates work breakdown structure (WBS) data enables Project Server to export approved timesheet data (work actuals) to the mySAP ERP Financials PS subsystem for cost accounting.
You can install and configure the Human Resources (HR), Finance Projects, and Finance WBS modules of the ERP Connector independently. In most cases, you can use the HR module directly from the download.
Important In most cases, your finance business specialist should review the Finance Projects module (integration with mySAP ERP Financials CO and PS subsystems). Because of specific accounting processes and data requirements in each organization, in virtually all cases you will need to modify the components that import work actuals from Project Server into the subsystems of mySAP ERP Financials for export and import of data.
All of the ERP Connector components are implemented with Project Data Service (PDS) extensions and include the Microsoft Visual C#® source code. Four of the PDS extensions are specific to the ERP Connector. You can use or modify one PDS extension, the EnterpriseCustomFieldValueUpdate method, for other applications. The download also includes test files and the necessary SAP ABAP™ language source code and instructions for implementing components on the mySAP ERP Financials subsystems for export and import of data.

Instructions
To install this download:
- Download the file by clicking the Download link (above) and saving the file to your hard disk.
- Double-click the pj11SAPConnector.exe program file on your hard disk to start the setup program.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation. The default installation directory is:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 2003 SDKs\Microsoft Office Project 2003 SDK\Solution Starters\SAP Connector
Instructions for use:
Installation creates the SAP Connector directory in the Solution Starters directory, by default. The SAP Connector directory contains a copy of the HTML Help file pj11SAPConnector.chm, and the subdirectories Bin, Diagrams, Source, and Tests. Installation also saves a backup file pj11SAPConnector.exe in the Solution Starters directory.
The Bin directory includes all of the files you need for installing the ERP Connector components on Project Server and for mySAP ERP. For information on installing the components, see the Setup and Configuration topics in the HTML Help file.

To re-install the ERP Connector files, double-click pj11SAPConnector.exe in the Solution Starters directory.
To remove this download:

To remove the download file itself, delete the file pj11SAPConnector.exe.
- To remove the installed files, delete the SAP Connector directory from your installation directory.
