Overview
One of the most important changes to Microsoft Excel 97 Visual Basic® for Applications is the addition of a full-featured forms package. In order to take advantage of this powerful new feature, you need to convert all of your Excel 5.0 / 95 dialog sheets into Excel 97 user forms. The Excel 97 Dialog Converter automatically converts your old Excel dialog sheets and their controls into new Excel 97 user forms with corresponding ActiveX® controls. This utility requires Microsoft Excel 97 and Windows® 95.

Instructions
To install this download
- You may want to print this page to use as a reference when you are offline.
- Download the file from this page by clicking the Download link above and following the instructions in the dialog boxes.
- Double-click the Dlg_Conv.EXE program file on your hard disk to start the Setup program.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the installation.
Instructions for use:
To use the Dialog Converter, open and activate the workbook containing the dialog sheets that you wish to convert, then select Convert Dialogs from the Tools menu. Please see the Readme.doc file for further instructions.
If you do not see the Convert Dialogs menu option, you may need to activate it by doing the following:- Select Add-Ins from the Tools menu.
- Click the check box next to Dialog Converter 97 to activate it, then click OK.
To remove this download:
You cannot restore converted dialogs to their original state. Be sure to backup your original files before you convert them.
There is no automated Uninstall feature included with this download. To uninstall, do the following:- With Excel open, select Add-Ins from the Tools menu.
- Uncheck box next to Dialog Converter 97 to unload it, then click OK.
- Close Excel.
- Locate and delete the file DialogConverter.xla from your hard drive.
- The next time you open Excel, the Dialog Converter will not be available.
