Microsoft Dynamics for Retail Technical Conference

Building upon the sessions delivered at the Microsoft Dynamics AX Technical Conference, an additional two day event will provide additional knowledge depth and hands-on experience with the latest version of Microsoft Dynamics for Retail solution, Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3. Key focus areas include:

  • Functional deep dive across the retail solution in new areas delivered as part of the R3 release, including Enterprise POS, Mobile POS, Retail Server, eCommerce, Catalog and Call Center sales, etc.
  • Technical deep dive in to solution architecture, extensibility, performance, and scalability
  • Hands-on experiences across functional scenarios, setup, deployment, and configuration, as well as developer experiences to customize solution across various components

Pre-requisites:

  • Real world experience with retail business processes preferred

Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 Enterprise Academy Service Industries Advanced Workshop

February 6-8, 2014
Microsoft Campus, Redmond WA

This workshop is designed to help functional consultants understand the options and whitespaces faced when implementing Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 in service industries. Industry-specific scenarios will be used to articulate these implementation options and prescriptive guidance will be provided as to how to make appropriate implementation decisions in a given scenario. Topics include:

  • Implementation options: proposed functional solutions for service industries scenarios
  • White spaces: technical and functional gaps. These concepts will be presented with the assistance of case studies
  • The industry verticals that the workshop will examine are: professional services, IT services, management consulting, architecture, engineering and advertising

The target audience for this workshop is:
Microsoft Dynamics AX functional consultants working in service industries

Pre-requisites:

  • At least two years of work experience in service industries IT (professional services, construction, engineering, or advertising).
  • Students must have completed training and master these functional areas of the solution: financials, human resource management, project management & accounting, and reporting. For details of Microsoft official courses that address these areas, please refer to the learning plans.
  • At least one Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 certification
  • Experience in a Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 implementation. You may have been a lead or had a supporting role; however real-life experience is highly recommended in order to maximize the benefit of attending the workshop.
