Conference Information Center

For your convenience, there are two Information Desks. The main desk is located in the West Concourse, Level II, Hall C Foyer. The second information desk is co-located with Conference Registration, West Concourse, Level I, Hall B Foyer. These desks are your source for lost and found, shuttle information, message board, and general conference details.

Hours are as follows:

Wednesday, March 12, 7:30am - 7:00pm
Thursday, March 13, 7:30am - 6:00pm
Friday, March 14, 7:30am - 5:30pm

Conference Store and Bookstore

Here's your chance to get branded clothing, specialty items and browse the hot list of relevant books. These make perfect gifts for staff, family, and friends. Located in the West Concourse, Level I beside registration.

Hours are as follows:

Wednesday, March 12, 10:00am - 1:30pm, 2:45 - 7:00pm
Thursday, March 13, 9:30am - 6:00pm

Meeting Points

Need an informal place to meet? Look for a Meeting Point! Five Meeting Points have been designated within the convention center and are available for your informal meeting needs. These areas are available for your use during the agenda-scheduled hours each day of Convergence and are simply marked with a 'Meeting Point' sign for reference. For exact locations, see venue map below.

Wireless Hot Spot Information

Convergence 2008 Orlando offers many wireless hot spots throughout the convention center. These wireless hot spots are indicated on the venue map. Should you need assistance onsite to access the wireless network simply see the Help Desk located in the Community & Learning Center in Hall C.

Ground Transportation

Shuttle service will be provided daily between the following conference hotel venues and the Orange County Convention Center. Shuttles operate every 10-15 minutes during the times listed.

Meal Service

Regular conference meals include breakfast and lunch and will be served in the West Concourse, Level II, Hall A2. You must have your conference badge visible for entry. If you have pre-ordered a Kosher, Muslim, Vegan or Allergy- specific meal you may pick it up at the designated Special Meal Buffet which is located in the center of the hall. Vegetarian, low-fat and carb-friendly options are available on all buffets.

Numbered Meal Hall Tables

Having trouble finding your group for lunch among the hundreds of meal hall tables? This year, 100 of the meal hall tables will be numbered for ease in locating. Coordinate with your colleagues to meet you at a numbered table, thus eliminating the walk up and down aisles of tables. All meal hall tables are for general use, but you'll find the numbered tables toward the back of the meal hall.

Badge Scanning

Your conference badge features an electronic bar code which is used for a variety of functions at Convergence 2008 Orlando. If your badge is scanned as you enter a session room or conference area, the information is used for attendance count purposes only - no personal contact information is stored during this type of transaction.

However, Convergence Sponsors and Exhibitors are able to rent badge scanning devices which do serve the function of collecting personal contact information for follow up purposes. This enables you to receive information from these vendors without having to carry personal business cards or write down your contact information. Please note that this is a voluntary activity on your behalf and you are not required to provide personal contact information through the vendor badge scanning.
