Welcome to the Microsoft Dynamics license compliance area, where you'll find information on piracy, how it affects you, and how to protect yourself, your business, and your ideas.

Software piracy is the unlawful use or reproduction of copyrighted or patented software. Software piracy steals jobs and wages, increases the cost of software development, and puts companies who use pirated software at risk.

You may never have considered that software purchased from computer manufacturers or at your local retailer may be pirated—and that's just what disreputable manufacturers and resellers are banking on. Read how piracy might affect you.

Microsoft wants to protect our customers and their business from software piracy. Therefore, we kindly ask you to verify that any Microsoft Dynamics software you're using is licensed to your business and is not an illegal copy.

Microsoft Dynamics products have slightly different ways to display license information. To begin, select the type of software you are interested in below:

If you are in doubt about the authenticity of your license or would just like to ensure the license you are using is valid, you can easily check whether or not it has been issued to your company by Microsoft.

To verify the authenticity of your Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 license, select Help, then select About, and the About Microsoft Dynamics NAV dialog box appears.

This dialog box should contain the following information:

  • A license number

  • The name of your company

  • The address of your company

If you are in doubt about the authenticity of your license or would just like to ensure the license you are using is valid, you can easily check whether or not it has been issued to your company by Microsoft.

To verify the authenticity of your Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0 license, select Help, then select About, and the About Microsoft Dynamics NAV dialog box appears.

This window should contain the following information:

  • A license number

  • The name of your company

  • The address of your company

If you are in doubt about the authenticity of your license or would just like to ensure the license you are using is valid, you can easily check whether or not it has been issued to your company by Microsoft Business Solutions.

To verify the authenticity of your Microsoft Dynamics NAV 4.0 license, select Help, then select About, and the About Navision dialog box appears.

This window should contain the following information:

  • A license number

  • The name of your company

  • The address of your company

If the window does not display this information, your license is not valid or has not been configured correctly. Click here to report it.

If you are in doubt about the authenticity of your license or would just like to ensure the license you are using is valid, you can easily check whether or not it has been issued to your company by Microsoft Business Solutions.

To verify the authenticity of your Microsoft Dynamics NAV 3.70 license, select Help, then select About, and the About Navision dialog box appears.

To verify the authenticity of your Microsoft Business Solutions–Axapta 3.0 license, check the company name in the blue box located in the lower right corner of the application.

If you are in doubt about the authenticity of your license or would just like to ensure the license you are using is valid, you can easily check whether or not it has been issued to your company by Microsoft.

To verify the authenticity of your Microsoft Business Solutions–Axapta 2.5 license, select Administrator, then select Feature Keys, and select License Information.

If the window does not display your company name in the License Holder field, your license is not valid or has not been configured correctly. Click here to report it.

Du kan checke licensen for din Microsoft Business Solutions–C5 2.10 eller ældre versioner ved at vælge fanebladet Generelt og dernæst Tilpasning -> Adgangskontrol -> Koder:

To verify the authenticity of your Microsoft Business Solutions–XAL license, select General, then select Adjustment, then select Access Codes, and select Codes.

The Program Codes window shows who the license is registered to.
