Prepare infrastructure
Before you can install the Microsoft Dynamics GP server components, you must be sure that you have the required hardware and software.
Install the server
After you have prepared your organization’s infrastructure for a Microsoft Dynamics GP installation, you can install the Microsoft Dynamics GP server.

Prepare the project team for setup
After you have installed the Microsoft Dynamics GP server, you must set up user accounts for each project team member. You must install Microsoft Dynamics GP clients at each project team member workstation and train them how to use Microsoft Dynamics GP. Use the Setup Checklist feature in Microsoft Dynamics GP to assign project team members to various tasks for setting up the program.

Test configuration
After you have set up and imported data into Microsoft Dynamics GP, you must test to be sure that the program is operating as expected. For example, you can print reports using Microsoft Dynamics GP to verify that data is correct. You also can enter test transactions to be sure that you’ve set up Microsoft Dynamics GP correctly. Depending on the type of transaction, you can void, delete, or adjust a test transaction after you enter it.
Extend system functionality
You can purchase additional products, or you can use development tools to customize Microsoft Dynamics GP or create new applications for Microsoft Dynamics GP.
