The Microsoft Digital Literacy curriculum provides essential computing skills for learners new to computing. The IT Academy program uses Digital Literacy as a remedial tool for some students and as a means of exploring new topics for others.

The curriculum consists of five courses:

Computer Basics

The Internet and World Wide Web

Productivity Programs

Computer Security and Privacy

Digital Lifestyles (which covers digital media)

This curriculum offers the following benefits:

E-learning and assessment so that students can skip concepts they have mastered and focus on the topics they need to round out their skills set.

Local language learning in: English, Thai, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Danish, Polish, Japanese, European Portuguese, French, German, Italian and Hungarian. Turkish, Russian, and Arabic versions will be available soon.

A Digital Literacy Certificate Test for students who want to demonstrate their mastery of all five courses.
