Software Assurance is a simpler way to keep current with the latest and most innovative Microsoft products. Under the Software Assurance program, you acquire the right to install any new release of covered products during the term of your Academic Select enrollment. By choosing Software Assurance membership for a pool of products (applications, systems, and/or servers), you have access to additional benefits, such as support resources, tools, and E-Learning courses. Receiving your Select License for Academic software

Digital by Choice

You can help us reduce our carbon footprint (reducing the need for discs and packaging) by choosing “Digital by Choice” when completing your order. You’ll acquire your licensed software via digital download, rather than receiving discs.

Please note: This is the default choice for all agreements. If you require physical media, you must complete a media order form with your reseller. Your registered affiliates may choose their own media delivery preference (digital or physical). Registered affiliates that have chosen the physical media option will be shipped media for the specific products they order.

Volume Licensing Product Fulfillment Kits

If you choose to receive physical media for your licensed software, we’ll send a media Welcome Kit with your discs at no charge to the contact(s) you choose. You can update the contact(s) anytime at the Product Fulfillment User’s Guide Web site. When updates to your licensed software are released, we will send you an Update Kit with the new software discs. Optionally, you can download licensed software from the VLSC or contact your LAR for additional media.

Making Copies

With Select Plus for Academic, you can reproduce and use Microsoft licensed products, as long as licenses are ordered for all copies of the deployed licensed products by the end of the month in which they were installed.
