An enterprise simulation platform for education:
Building a world game for pre-college students with Microsoft ESP
Exhibit 3: Cost-effectiveness of Microsoft ESP
It can cost as much as $30 million to build a high-end online game. Development with Microsoft ESP cuts that cost by several orders of magnitude; intended as an office tool of the future, ESP is currently available to developers for about $2,000. Additional cost savings will be realized by leveraging the 25-year history and preexisting assets of the fully rendered virtual Earth and physics system contained in Flight Simulator X, one of the oldest, most developed, and most widely used simulators available.
