Exciting enhancements to Microsoft Academic Volume Licensing programs
Updated: August 15, 2005
At Microsoft, we continually gather customer and partner feedback about our licensing programs and make periodic revisions to the programs based on that feedback. We are thrilled to announce a refresh of the Microsoft Academic Volume Licensing programs that includes exciting improvements. As of August 15, 2005, Microsoft Campus and School Agreement 3.4, Microsoft Academic Select License 6.4, and Microsoft Academic Open License 6.4 are available in the United States and Canada.
Highlights
Here are some of the highlights of the updated licensing programs.
Microsoft Campus and School 3.4
| • | Streamlined contracts. Campus and School 3.4 documents are now easier to review and complete. | • | The Campus and School License Rights is no longer a separate document. These terms and conditions are now incorporated into the agreement | | • | Campus and School agreements are now combined into one document: Campus and School Agreement | | • | Product orders are now completed separately from the Subscription Enrollment forms | | • | Microsoft Volume Licensing Product List now includes product and benefit offerings for Campus and School | | • | Direct partners are no longer required to sign agreements and enrollments, reducing processing time |
|
| • | Simplified renewal process. Renewing annual coverage no longer requires completion of a new Subscription Enrollment form or Follow-up Subscription Enrollment form. Renewal becomes effective when annual orders are placed using the new anniversary form or the extension order form. No signature is required for these forms |
| • | Ability to add products mid-term. Additional products can be added to an existing subscription enrollment at any time during the year. The full-year price is charged and the coverage term matches the existing enrollment |

| • | Complimentary MSDNAA full membership or MSNDAA High School membership
| • | Campus Agreement 3.4 customers receive one departmental, complimentary MSDN Academic Alliance (full) membership per enrollment, renewable annually at no cost until the agreement expires | | • | School Agreement 3.4 customers receive one departmental, complimentary MSDN Academic Alliance High School membership, renewable annually at no cost until the agreement expires |
