Movie Maker for an open house
Published: August 8, 2005

Think about... Using Microsoft Windows Movie Maker to introduce your class during an open house.
How does this look?
One way to showcase the children in your classroom during an open house is to create a movie of your students introducing themselves or their classmates. Here are some simple steps:
1. | Have your students write a few short sentences introducing themselves. |
2. | Have the students rehearse their sentences a few times before they are recorded. |
3. | Videotape students (5-10 seconds each is long enough) as they introduce themselves or a classmate. |
4. | Add each video clip to Movie Maker’s storyboard. |
5. | Show the video during the open house as the parents are arriving. |
