1) PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. Purchase will not enhance chances of winning. Promotion will take place at designated Microsoft Ultimate Windows Vista Celebration events held at select retail locations during business hours on January 30, 2007 (“events/retail locations”). The winners will be selected in random drawings from among all eligible entries received from each event/retail location for each respective drawing, as described below.
2) HOW TO ENTER: Complete the official Entry Form, while supplies last, with all information requested & submit it in the Entry Box displayed at designated Microsoft Ultimate Windows Vista Celebration events held at select retail locations on January 30, 2007 during retail location business hours. Entrants must complete entry form as instructed, including providing information about the School which will receive the Grand Prize if entrant is selected as the Grand Prize winner. You are not required to attend a sales presentation nor are you required to make a purchase at the event/retail location to enter. Limit one (1) entry per person per event/retail location. Multiple entries submitted by a single entrant in excess of the entry limit are void. No mechanically reproduced or automated entries accepted. Only complete & legible entries will be eligible. All entries become the property of the Sponsor & will not be returned.
3) WINNER SELECTION: Grand Prize: Random drawings will be conducted on or about February 13, 2007 to award one (1) Grand Prize per event/retail location from among all eligible entries received at the respective event/retail location. A total of thirty four (34) Grand Prizes will be awarded. First Prizes: A random drawing will take place live at each event/retail location - at the top of each hour from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (local time) from among all eligible entries received at that event prior to that drawing time, for a total of four (4) drawings per event. Non-winning eligible entries for each hourly drawing will be carried over to subsequent hourly drawings at that event. Winners need not be present at event/retail location at time of drawing to win or accept prize. Non-winning eligible entries from one event/retail location drawing will not be included in other event/retail location drawings. However, in the event no entries were received for a participating event/retail location, the prizes allocated to that location will be awarded from among all eligible entries received from the other events/retail locations. If such a drawing is required, it will be conducted on or about February 13, 2007. All drawings will be conducted under the supervision of an independent judging organization whose decisions are final on matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received for each respective drawing.
4) PRIZES: Thirty Four (34) Grand Prize Winners, one (1) awarded for each participating event/retail location: A $25,000 “Computer Lab Makeover” for the Winner’s School Grand Prize will consist of a Windows Vista computer lab (20 desktops with Windows Vista Ultimate and Office Student & Teacher software) or Mobile Lab (Mobile lab cart plus 20 Windows Vista Ultimate and Office Student and Teacher notebook PCs). Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of Grand Prize: $25,000 each. One Hundred Thirty Six (136) First Prize Winners, four (4) awarded for each participating event/retail location: A Microsoft Xbox gaming console. ARV of First Prize: $399.00. Total ARV of all prizes: $954,264. Grand Prize will be awarded to Winner’s school as disclosed on winner’s Entry Form at time of entry, which is offered only to publicly and privately accredited elementary and secondary schools (K-12) with shipping addresses within the 50 United States and the District of Columbia. Home schools are not eligible to receive the Grand Prize. If the school does not approve and accept the Grand Prize within 10 days of Sponsor’s initial contact with the school, or if the selected school is unavailable or unsuitable in Sponsor’s sole judgment, or if the selected school cannot accept the prize as awarded, or if the school does not meet the requirements set forth in these Official Rules, then the prize will be forfeited and an alternate Grand Prize winner will be selected and such winner may select another school. Transfer of the Grand Prize is not permitted. Complete details of Grand Prize will be furnished at time of prize award. If a First Prize winner is a minor in his/her jurisdiction of primary residence, prize will be awarded to the Parent or Legal Guardian of the winner on the winner’s behalf. Any expenses not explicitly listed herein, including any applicable tax on the prize are solely the responsibility of the winner. No substitution, barter, transfer, or assignment of prize permitted, except by Sponsor at its sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of comparable or greater value if entire prize or a portion of a prize is unavailable. Prizes are not redeemable for cash. Limit: one (1) prize per person and per school. First Prizes will be awarded live at event/retail location (as described above) and by e-mail and/or U.S. mail. Grand Prizes will be awarded by e-mail, overnight deliver service and/or U.S. mail. Any & all guarantees & warranties for merchandise prizes are subject to the manufacturer’s terms & conditions, & winners agree to look solely to such manufacturers for any such warranty or guarantee claim.
5) ELIGIBILITY: Open only to legal residents of the 50 United States & District of Columbia. Void where prohibited by law. Employees of Microsoft Corporation & anyone working directly on Microsoft programs & its affiliates, subsidiaries, participating retail locations, prize suppliers, promotion, advertising & promotional agencies, & the immediate family members & persons living in the households of each are not eligible to enter.
6) GENERAL CONDITIONS: Sweepstakes entrants agree to be bound by the terms of these Official Rules. The laws of the United States govern this Sweepstakes. All federal, state, & local laws & regulations apply. The First Prize winners will be notified live at the event/retail location and Grand & First Prize Winners will also be notified via e-mail and/or U.S. Mail at the addresses disclosed on winner’s Entry Form at time of entry within two (2) weeks of prize drawing. The winners (or Parent or Legal Guardian if Winner is a minor) may be required to execute & return an Affidavit of Eligibility & Liability & where legal, Publicity Release within 14 days following the date of issuance of notification. Non-compliance within this time period, or if winner is found to be ineligible or not in compliance with these Official Rules, or return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualification & selection of an alternate winner. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission for Microsoft Corporation and those acting under its authority to use winner’s name, likeness and the winning schools name and image for advertising & promotional purposes without additional compensation in all media now known or hereafter discovered, without notice, review or approval, unless prohibited by law. By entering, participants release & hold harmless Microsoft Corporation & its respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, participating retail locations, prize suppliers, employees & agents including Marden-Kane, Inc. from any & all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this Sweepstakes or acceptance or use of any prize won.
7) WHO WON: To receive name of the winners by U.S. mail after March 15, 2007, please mail a self addressed stamped envelope to: Microsoft Ultimate Windows Vista Celebration Winners, P.O. Box 723, Sayreville, NJ 08871-0723. Requests must be received by April 15, 2007.
8) SPONSOR: The Sponsor of this sweepstakes is Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, Washington, 98052-6399. The administrator is Marden-Kane, Inc., 36 Maple Place, Manhasset, NY 11030.

If you are a government employee (including an employee of a public education institution), Microsoft products may be used solely for the benefit of your agency/institution, and not for the personal use or benefit of any individual. You should consult with your agency/institution counsel or ethics officer prior to entering the contest and using such products. You may return Microsoft products to Microsoft at its expense.
