Innovative Schools
Education leaders everywhere are seeking to make learning more accessible and relevant, to ignite their students' natural desire to learn and prepare them for a rapidly changing, connected world. As a key Partners in Learning component, Innovative Schools delivers models that any school, any system, can use to help students achieve their full potential.
We build on findings from 12 pioneering Innovative Schools. Each has taken a unique approach to serving the needs of its community. All share a process for assessing, improving, and evaluating their learning environmentsfor successfully moving beyond the limits of the classroom and traditional learning models.
Together, we have discovered schools excel when
- their leaders are empowered to think big
- their entire learning community of teachers, students, and administrators share a vision of change
- they connect, collaborate, and explore best practices with education leaders worldwide
Through Innovative Schools, we build communities of schools with a common interest in transforming education. We deliver technology expertise, development tools, and maturity models, as well as online and regional training, to support education leaders in creating holistic change.

Local innovation. World-class expertise
Partners in Learning is committed to help break down local barriers to learning. Over the years, we've built long-term partnerships with innovative schools around the world which are on the forefront of creating effective, holistic change. These are the mentor schools of our program, and they serve as pathfinders for innovative education. We support and learn from these schools, bringing together leaders in educational research to provide knowledge, current research findings, and expertise. These include
