Literature Alive! An Interactive Approach to the Study of Literature
Updated: April 6, 2004
Explore your role as a learning facilitator in the classroom. Seventh and eighth grade students choose a short story, present the elements to their classmates, and use technology to design an activity that will help the class review the main concepts of the story. One example is the game of Zoolander, a "fun-filled activity that recalls the plot, theme, main characters, conflict, and resolution" of the story Lucas and Jake. Students also create a homework assignment as a study guide for their peers.
“I wanted the stories to come alive for my students...I find that they always exceed my expectations when working with technology.”
Tracy Davis, St. Vincent de Paul School
