Know Your Presidents
Updated: April 9, 2004
Students conduct research on U.S. presidents and discuss their findings in class. They enter data into a master database and query the database to answer questions about the presidents. During the project, students gain skills in analyzing a question's content, using Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) in databases, managing files, and using technology to obtain and to present information.
“[The students] easily picked up searches and sorts and a couple of students asked questions that required the use of a custom select query which I helped them construct.”
Dr. Richard Johnson, Boise State University
