Vice President,
Marketing, Strategy and Operations Consumer & Online EMEA

Laurent Delaporte is the Vice President, Marketing, Strategy and Operations for Microsoft’s Consumer & Online International (C&O) division for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). C&O is responsible for Microsoft’s consumer business (PC, phone, web) in all markets outside the United States. C&O drives all sales, marketing, content & programming, business development, and operations across Windows PC, Windows Phone, Windows Live, MSN, advertising sales, and other services.

In this role, Laurent is focused on delivering the best seamless technology experiences to consumers across EMEA, in close cooperation with a broad network of retail and online partners, advertisers, and publishers.

Laurent joined Microsoft France in 1992, first as Account Manager later as Director of the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Division. He later joined the EMEA Headquarters (Europe, Middle-East, and Africa) as OEM Marketing Director. Laurent was later appointed Vice President, EMEA for Microsoft’s Small & Medium Business group in EMEA, including the integration of Navision.

In June 2005, Laurent was appointed Business Marketing Officer (BMO) and Deputy General Manager of Microsoft France. In this role, Laurent orchestrated double digit growth plan and led the BMO (Business & Marketing Organization) during the periods of SQL 2007, Vista, Office 2007 and the Server Wave 2008 launches.

Before joining Microsoft, Laurent was R&D Project manager for Philips TRT and Founder/Manager of Compcontrol Inc., a start-up specialized in building testing and measuring industrial equipment. Laurent graduated with a Masters Degree from the Polytechnic Institute in New York and with a degree from Insead. He is married and the happy father of 4 children, and has a passion for sailing.

Torossian is a graduate of the International School of Business (ISG) in Paris and INSEAD, the European Institute of Business Administration.
