U.K. School Uses Mobile Solution to Support a Revolution in Learning
Cornwallis school joined the New Line Learning federation of schools in 2005. A Microsoft® Windows® XP Tablet PC Edition device is given to each student when they enter the school, and this remains with them until the day they leave. Tablet PCs replace the use of conventional books and offer a range of content, including interactive multimedia learning resources developed by the school. Students are more enthusiastic and motivated, and the paperless school concept has helped Cornwallis cut the costs associated with reporting and administration.

Slovenian School Increases Computer Security in the Classroom
The Radenci High School for Hospitality and Tourism holds computer science classes, and also gives students access to shared computers in the library and student residences. Teaching staff were concerned that students were changing desktop settings and using instant messaging software during classes, causing confusion and diverting attention from study. The school used Shared Computer Toolkit for Microsoft® Windows® XP to standardise the school desktop, and improve security controls for shared computers.
