Microsoft Access

Structure and Organise Day-to-Day Educational Activities and Information

Organise, access, and share information effectively using Microsoft Office Access 2003. Encourage logical and mathematical thinking, and develop new ways of consolidating and analysing information in a database that supports new concepts and ideas in the classroom.

Access offers teachers an easy-to-use database for organising and maintaining student information, or managing teaching resources. You can investigate and retrieve information in different ways to help you keep track of assessment results, and monitor performance levels in the classroom, for example.

Students can use Access to input data collected for projects in a structured and logical way, helping them to develop useful database skills for the future. They can manipulate the information, analyse scenarios, and track trends.

Use Access with other Learning Suite tools to create more comprehensive documents by importing structured data into Word documents, or Excel spreadsheets. Or load information directly from Access onto Web sites using FrontPage.
