Humanitarian and Disaster Relief Programmes

Humanitarian and Disaster Relief Programmes

At Microsoft, we believe that technology innovation can help communities overcome immense social and economic challenges in the long term. We also activate cash donations when communities are faced with the sudden and devastating consequences of a natural disaster. Donations are often augmented by the personal generosity of our employees around the world. We provide technical assistance to inter-governmental organisations (IGO’s) such as UNHCR and the World Food Programme to help them maximise the value of their resources, knowledge and experience. As a result, we hope to help these organisations to enhance their capacity to effectively help people and communities to recover and regenerate.
