The Beta Experience - Soon to be final. Be there while it happens.
Microsoft Visual Studio 2005
Beta Experience Newsletter Number 3, September 28, 2005

From the Editor
With Visual Studio Team System, Microsoft is entering the market of the Software Development Lifecycle tools. These tools allow teams to be productive and predictable in building software solutions. Such a tool typically consists of many different components like designers, a source control system, a system to manage work items assigned to members of the project team, components to allow the project manager to keep a finger on the pulse of the project, testing tools and many more. Needless to say there is a lot to learn.

In this newsletter you will find introductory content that provides an overview of the system as well as more in-depth content on topics such as the new source control system which offers a high-scale alternative to Visual Source Safe. If you really want to delve deeper, try the free online training or even better, attend one of the VSTS events around Europe where people from the product team in Redmond will present the product and be available for Q&A. Enjoy!
