The Microsoft Government Leaders Forums are events that bring together top government and businesses leaders with the goal of driving discussion on how the private sector can work in cooperation with local, regional and central governments to exchange experiences and best practices related to good governance, socio-economic development, healthcare and education, as well as to discuss the roles that information and communication technologies (ICT) play in achieving success in these areas. The Government Leaders Forum in Dubai on 24–25 April will bring together over 120 government delegates and business leaders in the region and provide a forum for exploring how the public and private sectors can partner for success in achieving IT policy goals and boosting economic growth. In addition, wide-ranging perspectives will be exchanged on a variety of issues, such as building a favourable environment for new job creation, boosting productivity, modernising public services, providing for a positive private-investment environment, and ensuring all citizens are able to participate fully in the information society.
