Sign Up for a Second Life Id at https://secure-web4.secondlife.com/join/

Download the Second Life installer at http://s3.amazonaws.com/download-secondlife-com/Second%20Life%201-15-0-2%20Setup.exe [31MB]

Run the above installation file. In case there are any errors, do the following:

a. Save the installation file to your desktop
b. Select the file and right click on it. Select Properties
c. Under the Compatibility tab check the Run this program in Compatibility mode for Windows XP (Service Pack 2) and check Run as Administrator and click OK.

Install Second Life, on completion click on Run Second Life now.

Enter your username and password from Step 1 and click on connect.

Once you’ve completed the orientation activities, you can teleport yourself to the Microsoft Island. In fact, clicking on the link below should teleport you automatically:
