Visa Application Process

European Union nationals do not require a visa to attend Tech·Ed EMEA Developers in Barcelona.

For non-European Union nationals, all visa applications must be lodged from the place of residence and application forms need to be requested from the Spanish Embassy.

Delegates requiring a visa to attend Tech·Ed EMEA 2008 Developers in 2008 are recommended to follow the process below:

  • Submit your Tech·Ed EMEA 2008 Developers registration and full payment to the Microsoft Registration Office.
  • Upon request the Microsoft Registration Office will forward you a visa invitation letter - this will be sent by post or fax (once payment in full has been received). Click here to request a visa invitation letter.
  • Contact your local Spanish Embassy for a visa application form.
  • Complete visa application and submit to the Spanish Embassy together with your visa invitation letter.
  • Purchase travel health insurance - this is essential for all visa applicants.
  • Allow 4-6 weeks for your local Spanish Embassy to process your visa application (note - this is a guideline and may differ between countries).
