Trustcom - Trust, Security, and Contract Management framework

Trustcom logo

A Trust and Contract Management framework enabling secure collaborative business processing in on-demand created, self-managed, scalable, and highly dynamic virtual organizations.

Trustcom developed a framework for trust, security, and contract management in dynamically evolving virtual organizations. This framework enables secure collaborative business process management in on-demand, self-managed, and dynamic value chains of businesses and governments.
The framework leverages and extends the emerging convergence of open standards such as Web services, Grid technologies, and protocols for inter-enterprise interactions.

A realization of the Trustcom framework was delivered by means of open standards Web services-based specifications and a reference implementation.
Validation took place within industrial-strength test-beds in the areas of collaborative design engineering (CE) and provision of ad-hoc, dynamic processes (ADP) for the on-demand provision aggregate electronic services.

The contribution of the European Microsoft Innovation Center (EMIC):

The European Microsoft Innovation Center (EMIC) contributed to the project with a high amount of software development mainly related to building so-called Security Token Services (STS) as a vital component of the Trustcom Framework.
In addition, we coordinated the overall development of the core TrustCom platform to enable an integral life-cycle for virtual organizations.
Finally, we contributed to the standardization effort of the project.
