April 8, 2014: Mind the date, Windows XP End of Support!

On April 8, 2014, Microsoft will end support for the decade old Windows XP. This means you will no longer receive updates, including security updates. Support of Microsoft Office 2003 will also be ending on the same date. According to Microsoft's most recent Security Intelligence Report:

 

1.Worldwide security threats to computers number in the many millions each year
2.Newer operating systems have lower infection rates than older releases
3.Computers running Windows XP encountered about 31 percent more malware than computers running Windows 8 – with an infection rate that's 5 times higher
4.Extended support for Windows XP ends April 8, 2014 – that means no new patches or service packs to protect computers still running Windows XP
