      This management pack was originally released on May 15, 2003.

      The Microsoft Transaction Server (MTS) Management Pack monitors MTS 2.0. This management pack monitors events placed in the application and system logs by MTS. It highlights events that might indicate possible service outages or configuration problems, so you can take action. For example, this management pack alerts you of the following critical conditions:


      • MTS becomes unavailable

      • MTS detects replication errors

      • Resource issues affect MTS performance

      • Configuration issues impact MTS availability and performance


      This management pack has been updated since the release of Microsoft Operations Manager 2000 Service Pack 1 (SP1) and is now supported for use in international-language configurations.

    • Downloading the Management Pack
      To download the management pack:
      1. Click the Download button, and then download the management pack.

      2. On the Microsoft Operations Manager server (DCAM), click the executable file to install in a temporary directory.


      Importing the Management Pack
      You can import this management pack using the Microsoft Operations Manager administrative console and following these steps:

      1. Open the Microsoft Operations Manager administrative MMC console.

      2. Expand the Microsoft Operations Manager (Default) node.

      3. Expand the Rules node.

      4. Select the Processing Rule Groups node.

      5. Right click the Processing Rule Groups node, and then select the Import Management Pack option.

      Follow the instructions until you have finished importing the management pack.
