Real jobs need real skills, which is why our Microsoft Apprenticeships programme was designed to provide young people with paid, practical work experience plus all the training and support they need to succeed in a technology career. The programme is part of 'Get On', Microsoft's national initiative to help young people to get inspired, get skilled and get a job.
We currently offer Advanced and Higher Apprenticeship versions in 5 areas: Infrastructure Support, Database Support, Developer, Technical Sales and IT Applications/ Business Administration.
How it works
Now in its 5th year, over 7,000 apprenticeships have been completed so far in over 5000 different Microsoft partners and customers. Designed for and by these companies, this valuable, paid work experience is combined with high-quality training, incorporating some of the most sought-after Microsoft qualifications; including MCTS, MCSA, MTA & MOS.
It means a massive head start for young people, and access to a skilled, motivated talent pool for their employers. In fact, over 92% of Microsoft Apprentices choose to remain with their employers once their apprenticeships have concluded. It is a key reason why the programme has grown since its creation - creating 300 apprentices in its first year, growing to an expected 4000 signing up in 2015.
In the UK, around 24,500 companies are active Microsoft partners, employing over 250,000 people between them. So, whether you are an employer, candidate or careers advisor, find out how our Microsoft Apprenticeships can help you:
