Guard against spyware using Windows Defender

Tuesday 19 March 2013

Windows Defender can help protect business' computers from dangerous spyware.

The software - which runs automatically when it is turned on - can be downloaded from the internet to add another layer of protection to corporate PCs.

Windows Defender offers real-time protection against spyware, alerting users when attempts to install spyware are made.

The solution also issues an alert when unwanted programmes attempt to change important Windows settings.

Windows Defender can also be used to scan for spyware that might be installed on computers and schedule scans on a regular basis.

In addition, it can be used to automatically remove any threats that are detected during a scan.

Users need to ensure that they have up-to-date definitions when using Windows Defender, installing them automatically as they are released.

This offers peace of mind to business leaders and the IT department; safe in the knowledge that PCs have security protection.
