Directory and business marketing organisation Yellow has deployed Office 365 as it continues its transition to a digital company.
The firm has turned to Microsoft's cloud-based productivity suite to deliver secure, anywhere-access to a range of software solutions and applications.
Some 550 employees will now be able to access email and calendars, use Microsoft Office web apps, and take advantage of file sharing irrespective of their location.
Yellow's chief technology officer Michael Hendry commented that it was "an obvious choice" to partner with Microsoft.
“When it comes to email, not all solutions are equal, as we discovered during our due diligence," he stated.
"We wanted a system that would upgrade our existing on-premise technology, align with Yellow’s vision for digital strategic growth, and all without adding something else for our existing IT team to worry about."
Mr Hendry said deploying Office 365 "takes away the pain of any future upgrades" because Microsoft manages the whole process.
"On top of that, it’s cost-effective, offers the best short and long-term solution for our staff, and will allow Yellow to be a more productive business," he stated.
