How do I apply for free software for charitable organisations?
Our software donation programme is open to applications from UK registered charities. To apply for a software donation please visit the ctxchange website.
How much software can I apply for?
UK registered charities can apply for up to 10 copies of software and 50 licences for each copy every two years. For more information visit click here.
How can educational establishments apply for low cost software?
Microsoft offers a significant discount on software and licences to all schools, educational institutions and registered charities in the UK through the Education Licensing programme. For more information please contact the Education Department on 0870 60 70 800.
Does Microsoft provide cash grants?
Microsoft only gives cash donations to selected charity and educational projects in the UK. We regret we are unable to provide funding to other groups.
Can Microsoft provide a raffle prize for my organisation?
We are unable to make software donations for raffle prizes or auctions.
Can Microsoft Sponsor my local sports team?
Unfortunately it is not possible for Microsoft to take part in the sponsorship of local sports teams.
What does Microsoft do with old hardware?
Since 2003 Microsoft UK and HP have jointly operated a programme to donate all working and useable equipment to one of the following programmes:
- Microsoft Authorised Refurbisher Scheme
- The Digital Pipeline Project
