We’ve pledged to help half a million people into work, and to help create 100,000 new jobs.
We aim to achieve this through our Britain Works programme, which provides apprenticeships, training and support for start-up businesses. We’re also supporting people to prepare for work and find jobs, working in partnership with charities supporting local communities and helping people improve their computer skills with our Digital Literacy Curriculum.
There are five main programmes which make up Britain Works :
- Partnerships with employment sector charities
- Support for technology start-ups
- IT skills training through the Digital Literacy Curriculum
- Work experience for young people
