Rated 5 out of 5 by williams1979 great for the price
I've had quite a few lumia's since their release and i can't say i have had a bad one - simple to use and navigate around. I've seen many reviews with people complaining about one thing or another and i have to disagree with all of them. Im currently on the 625, I've also got the 920 and the 800 - the 625 is just as good as the others for day to day use and i find the camera perfectly fine for uploading to Facebook or twitter - its a social networking phone not a piece of equipment for making the next exhibit at the tate gallery. As far as the apps are concerned, I've had no problem in finding apps i need and use daily. The phone as nice and slim and really comfortable to hold in the hand. So for all you haters out there - stick to your boring old iphones or your battery starved androids and leave the Nokia range alone

Rated 5 out of 5 by orphangrey A great phone at a great price.
I love this phone. It is fantastic value. It does everything I want from a phone. The camera takes super pics outside. It is very easy to own and use. The battery life is not too bad either for a smart phone.

I really like the phone but I think that the placement of the power button could have been thought out a little bit better. I preferred my 710 which has the power button on the top and recessed. Other than that it is great value and overall an excellent choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by lumialoony334 amazing phone
I would definitely recommend this phone to anyone who loves twitter, Facebook, instagram etc. At first I was a bit confused as I didn't have a Microsoft account but it soon all made sense! I got a Nokia Lumia 625 yesterday and charged it last night, I've had no problem with charge yet and its nearly the end of the day. Apps are slightly limited but the camera is amazing for a 5MP, it can take some stunningly clear images which can be massively improved but the built in photo editors and lenses such as panorama. I love being able to change the box colours and sizes in the home screen! This phone might not suit anyone who hasn't had a phone before but it is great for almost everything. Overall this phone is VERY amazing for the price!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bigred Great value for money
I upgraded from a Lumia 800 because some apps I use don't rotate or zoom and my eyes aren't as good as they used to be, so I was looking for a larger screen. The resolution and brightness isn't as good as the 920 but perfect when your eyesight is fading, high resolution doesn't help when you have to hold the phone at arms length to focus. SD card is a great addition, but miss zune support, I quite liked it. I'm surprised how fingerprints show up much more than the 800, but gorilla glass 2 stays scratch free without any protection. The removable cover is excellent and looks part of the phone in the same way that the 800 is a one piece construction. It can easily be mistaken for a phone of twice the price, the Nokia apps add real value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by owen27 Great phone with a great OS at a great price.
I bought a Lumia 625 earlier this year sim-free after finding the screen on my previous phone a little too small. Although my previous phones screen resolution was 328ppi compared to the 625's 201ppi, I honestly don't find this a problem in everyday use and find I get less eye strain using the 625.
I have had several Windows Phones in the past and prefer the Nokia Lumia 625 to all of them. The size of the device is spot on and very comfortable to use, and the 4.7 inch display while not class-leading in terms of resolution, is nicely saturated with text being legible and clear.
Signal strength is very good and compares favourably with previous phones, voice quality is good, and the ringer is fine unless you're in an exceptionally noisy environment.
In terms of battery life, I'm currently getting between 2 to 3 days on a single charge. I have a single push e-mail account configured along with Facebook and Twitter, and have not reduced the default refresh times of these apps. I also use Bing News and Weather which update the Live tiles regularly, and browse the web for around 30-40 mins a day over wi-fi.
One of the features I love about the Lumia is the interchangeable back covers. Along with the white cover on the device at purchase, I also claimed a free Green one from Nokia and bought the Orange and Yellow ones. It's great being able to change the device colour (and match this with the OS theme) whenever I feel like it, and nice to stand out from the crowd in a sea of fruit-less devices out there!
The MicroSD expansion is another great feature of the phone. I have a 64Gb card loaded with around 25Gb of music and photos, and love being able to take these with me without needing a separate media player. Sound output via the headphones is clean with very little distortion, and exceptionally loud compared to any other smartphone I've owned. I usually have my device volume set to 18, but have to reduce this to 13 or 14 when listening to music.
The camera on the phone may only be a 5mp shooter, but in good lighting conditions this produces great results with surprisingly little noise. Shots in low light are obviously a tad noisy, but the flash is fairly strong and keeps this to a minimum. Focus and shutter response times are also very good for a phone in this price range.
All the applications I need and use are readily available on Windows Phone from it's app store, and the Nokia exclusives like Here Drive, Here Maps and Mix Radio only broaden the appeal.
With a dual-core 1.2GHz processor and 512Mb RAM the Lumia 625 certainly can't compete head-on with flagships out there in terms of raw specs, but the OS never feels sluggish in daily use and apps open with little or no discernable lag.
If you're after a sensibly-priced and well-specified 4G-capable smartphone with great build quality, you should definitely give the 625 your consideration.
