Why are my contacts and calendar entries lost after the device software update?

Your contacts and calendar entries may temporary be lost after the device software update in the Symbian^3 device (Nokia N8-00, E7-00, C7-00, C6-01) if you are using Mail for Exchange for synchronising the contacts and calendar entries. The data will be restored when Mail for Exchange does the synchronisation next time. If the automatic synchronisation is not enabled, select Menu > Mail > Mail for Exchange > Options > Synchronise to run the synchronisation manually.

Note that if some of the manually created contacts in your device were not synchronised to Exchange server before the device software update, you may need to recreate these contacts.
