Q: If I trial Plan E3, can I switch to plans E1, E2, or E4?
Yes, you can switch between plans. Once you have signed up for a Plan E3 trial, you can make this change in the billing and subscription management of your Office 365 admin overview. Note: only Plan E3 is available for trial.
Q: Can I switch between Office 365 plan families (Plans P1 and E)?
You cannot migrate between a Plan P account and a Plan E account. In order to move between the two plans you would need to cancel your account and then sign up for a different one.

At this time there is no specific Office 365 for education trial; try Plan E3 for an experience similar to Office 365 for education.
