      Some users are unable to remove Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 because the original files and registry keys needed to uninstall Internet Explroer 7 Beta 2 are no longer on the system, usually because a cleaner tool deleted them to save disk space.

      • The version of Internet Explorer you’re running is 7.0.5346.5. You can check the version you have by opening Internet Explorer, clicking Help, and then ‘About Internet Explorer’ and reading the version.

      • Your Windows directory is located at C:\Windows and your Program Files directory is located at C:\Program Files

      • You’re running Windows XP on a 32-bit machine


      1. Choose the language that matches your computer from the drop-down list above

      2. Click the 'Download' button above and choose 'Run' or 'Open' when prompted.

      3. Confirm you've read the system requirements by clicking 'Yes' or click 'No' and go read the system requirements.

      4. Follow the steps in the 'Software Update Removal Wizard'. A machine restart will be required.
